Hi have this amazing flower stamp from Unity Stamp Co that I have colored in just about every color. I was looking for a different color option the other day in my color palette Pinterest board and I kept coming across tan and navy combos. I decided it would be really fun to color the flowers with a vintage feel. My original plan was a navy background but as you can see that changed as I went along.
I used a few different E Copic color families and some Distress Oxide inks. I tried to color the flowers to give them a slight water color feel. I laid down my lightest color and then "brushed" the other 3 colors on where I felt they would work best and then blended over everything with the lightest color again.
Flowers: E40, E42, E43 and just tiny touches of E44
Leaves: E71, E74 and small touches of E79
Once the flowers were colored, I just fussy cut them out.
I used a stencil to create the background. I taped my card stock to the backside of the stencil. I used Distress Oxide in Frayed Burlap and blended it on heavier at the edges and then faded to white in the area I was going to place the flowers. I also blended that color on a scrap piece of paper to stamp the sentiment on. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Clair Pinecone ink. The background panel was trimmed down to 4 1/8"x5 3/8" and mounted on Kraft card stock.
The flowers and sentiment were popped up with 1/16" foam tape.
