Black Embossed Lace Card

Hello. I am here with 2 cards inspired by the most unlikely source. My husband and I go to car shows. Sometimes we have a car in the show, sometimes we are just spectators. Today, we were just there to enjoy the other cars and I came across a car with a beautiful black, patterned wrap. I just had to try and replicate it on a card background. I have a lace background stamp so I started with that.

This is the patterned wrap on the car I was trying to emulate.

I started by taking some A2 size pieces of black card stock and stamped my lace background stamp with Versamark ink. I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. It turned out great. I did 2 of them and I cut them down with a stitched rectangle die that was 4"x5 1/4".

I also did the same thing with a piece of white card stock to use for my word dies and embellishments..

I die cut the word Hello and Hugs out of plain white card stock twice and once out of the embossed white card stock and glued them in a stack for dimension. I cut some hearts out of the white embossed card stock also. The small heart was stacked with 2 hearts out of plain card stock.

For the hello card, I wrapped a piece of black organza ribbon around the embossed panel and tied it in a knot off to the side. I glued the hello on top of that. I popped the whole panel up with black fun foam and mounted it on a black A2 sheet of card stock mounted to a card base.

For the hugs card, I mounted the black embossed panel onto white card stock that was cut about 1/16" inch bigger on all sides. I mounted this flat onto an A2 piece of black card stock attached to a card base. I then glued on the hearts and hugs.
