Angie Blom Digital Designs announcement & cards

Hello everyone. I have some exciting news to share. I have been blessed with being asked to join the design team for Angie Blom Digital Designs. I have been a huge fan of Angie's art and rubber stamps sold through Unity Stamp Co. I am super excited that I can now get even more images from her digital shop.

This otter set is her newest release and is on sale for a limited time. Go check it out fast.  One of the best things about Angie's digital sets is that along with the images, you get a printable 8 1/2 x 11 sheet with 4 cards already arranged for you. All you have to do is click and print. This first card uses one of those pre-arranged images.

Isn't this otter adorable?  I printed out the sheet of cards and just cut them apart. I colored this cutie up using my Copics. I water colored the blue around him. I discovered you can water color on Copic friendly paper if you use as little water as possible and don't go over an area too much.

This card required a little more work.  I used Photoshop Elements to create it. I put my main otter in the center and made it a bit larger than the surrounding ones. The I used both the otter images and arranged them around this main one. I turned and rotated them as I went. I colored the main one with some E25, 27 & 29. and the rest were colored with W00, and W02. They were outlined with B0000.

Here's a look at them amazing team I get to work with at Angie Blom Digital Designs. Go spend a moment poking around her site. If you would like lots of inspiration or have questions about using digital images, there is a great Facebook group you can join. Click HERE to check it out.

Unicorn Love card

Hello everyone. I am so excited for this card. One of my favorite artist that does stamps for Unity Stamp Company opened a digital store this week. I ordered several sets so fast. I had to color this AMAZING unicorn first. I hope you love her as much as I do.

I used my Copics to color her. The main was done with one color for each section, alternating as I went. I used the pinks from the flowers to dot along the bottom and around the unicorn.

Hello Beauty-flowers card

Hello everyone. I got Zig Clean Color brush markers for Christmas. I have been enjoying practicing water coloring with them. I really love the simplicity of them compared to actual water colors.

I just used one color blue and one green to do this. I used 034 Dull Blue for the flowers and 043 Olive Green for the leaves. The centers were done with 050 Yellow and the wash around it was done with 302 Haze blue. I still have some practicing to do. I know I can get better shading but I am happy with this for now. I die cut the panel with a stitched die and just matted it with deep blue card stock and added 3 glittery enamel dots.

Brystl Girl Joy in the Ordinary card

Hello everyone. It feels like forever since I have made cards on a regular basis. I adopted a darling 8 month old puppy from a rescue shelter the first of December. She needs a lot of attention and training right now. I finally got a few minutes to make some cards.

This lovely lady is an Angie girl from Unity Stamp Co. I had to use a new background stamp and a new die also. She was super fun to color, although I am terrible at picking out outfit colors. I wear jeans and t-shirts nearly every day.

Isn't the staple a fun touch. And look at that wavy die. I colored the girl with Copic markers. I stamped the background with Distress Oxide Ground Espresso and then blended Brushed Corduroy over it. Once I had die cut the girl, I inked around her with Distress Oxide in Antique Linen. The sentiment was stamped with Archival Ground Espresso and inked with Distress Oxide in both Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy. Supplies are listed below.

Copic Markers
Skin: E000, E01
Hair: E50, Y 21, YR26, E44
Vest: E40, E41, E42

Friends of Unity January 2020 blog hop

Hello everyone. Boy December just flew by in a whirl wind of activity. I can't believe it's time for the Friends of Unity blog hop again. I hope you take a minute to check out everyone's blog. This month should be good. We are doing out favorite Unity stamp of 2019. It was so hard to choose, there were so many good ones released last year.

I'm going to jump right in with my first card. See I told I had a hard time picking. Please be sure to scroll down to the end. I am posting the winner from last months hop and you will find all the links for all the talented ladies hopping this month.

The Owl & the Moon set was a late in the year release, it quickly won my heart. I used Hearts All Over and Gina K Red Hot ink to stamp the back ground. The owl was colored with Copics as follows: Owl-R24, R27, R29, owl belly-E50, E51. Moon-Y08, Y11, Y15.

Friendship Blooms became one of my favorite floral stamps. I have used it so many ways. This time I colored it with my new Zig Clean color brush markers. They are so much fun. I used Violet, Deep Violet, Yellow and Olive Green markers and used a Prismacolor Violet pencil to deepen the shadows. The background was created with Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber and the Chained Hexagon stencil from Gina Marie Designs.

Now for the winner from last months hop. Cathy Rendek, please email me at alainet@comcast.net and I will send you a prize package.

Be sure to hop along with everyone and leave comments. There are more prizes this month.
