Succulent Birthday card

I had a lot of fun using a new background stamp from Unity Stamp Co and Brutus Monroe along with a great succulent set from Unity.

I started by tearing micropore tape in half and using it to frame a border around my card stock. I blended Fossilized amber Distress Oxide all over this.

My next step was to place this in my Misti and use the tape to hold it in place.I centered the Vintage Burlap background stamp over it.

I choose Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon to randomly ink the background stamp and stamp over the Fossilized Amber

Once the tape was removed, I had this great background with ragged edges from the torn tape.

I trimmed it down an 1/8 inch on all four sides and mounted it on black card stock and then to a card base. I used Fossilized Amber to watercolor a strip of paper for the sentiment and added black enamel dots on each side. I stamped the 3 succulents from Thrive Always from Unity Stamp Co and colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out.

I hope you enjoy this card. Have a great day.
