Seraphim Butterfly

Hello.  Today I created a card from a background I had sitting on my desk. I had seen someone do some light gray stamping to fill in a background so I gave it a try and made a few backgrounds with different texture and script stamps I have.

This card started by stamping the doily image in the Be Fearless kit from Unity Stamp Co. It is no longer available but Doily Hugs and Wishes would give a similar look. I used Flannel ink from Simon Says Stamp.  I trimmed this down to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”. I then embossed it with a script embossing folder and swiped the Flannel ink over the raised letters and the edges and matted it with a black A2 panel. The butterfly is Seraphim Wings also from Unity Stamp Co. I stamped it on a 3” square and matted it with a black 3 1/8” square. I used the flannel ink on the edges of this as well.

Here is a closeup at the background texture.
