Blue Flower Happy Birthday

Hello everyone. I hope you got a chance to hop along with the Friends of Unity Blog post found here. I do have a prize I will be giving away.

Today's card is a a pretty quick one to make. I have been having a creative lull so I went to my Pinterest Card inspiration board to see if I could find some inspiration. I combined some layering and color ideas for a couple of cards I saw there.

I started with an A2 size piece of card stock and stamped a script background stamp with Distress Oxide in Pumice Stone. I took and mandala stamp and stamped over that in the same color. I sprayed the whole thing with water and laid a paper towel over it to pick up some of the color. I cut the white panel with a stitched rectangle die after it was dry and mounted it on a black piece of card stock. I wrapped a piece of black organza ribbon around it and mounted the whole piece to an A2 card blank.

I stamped the flower on another piece of white card stock and colored it with my Copics. I distressed the edges with the same Pumice Stone ink and matted it in black. I adhered that off center on the card base. I distressed and matted the sentiment the same way.  I think the whole card took about 20 minutes but it has great texture and interest.

Copics used:
Flower-B93, B95, B97
Stem-YG67

Stamps used:
Lots of Love-script background
Be Unstoppable-sentiment
